Dear Silver Valley Condominium Owners:
The Silver Valley Board of Directors have recently discussed the associations recycling service provided by Hometown Services. After discussion with Hometown Services, the Board of Directors has made the decision to terminate its recycling agreement with Hometown Services effective April 8, 2019. This change has been made for several reasons:
- Owners have been attempting to recycle items such as bottle caps and lids, glass, pizza boxes, and styrofoam. These items are not acceptable recyclables as spelled out in the list provided by Hometown Services.
- Owners have not been rinsing out bottles, cans and such. Hometown Services can not accept bottles that are not rinsed out.
- There are only a handful of owners who are attempting to utilize this service, yet the association has to pay for every resident. Eliminating recycling service will save the association $7,992 per year which can be spent on the maintenance needs of the association.
The Board of Directors encourages the Silver Valley Condominium owners to continue recycling through other programs set up by the city or county. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to direct them to Associated Property Management at 330-722-3000.
Sincerely,
Silver Valley Board of Directors
