Many concrete street sections and multiple water catch basins have sustained frost/salt damage resulting in cracks, separation, and erosion. Several catch basins were too weak to go on supporting the weight of large delivery and waste removal trucks. In 2018, several of the worst catch basins will be excavated and repaired, and their edges sealed to reduce the ill effects of freezing and water erosion.
Similarly, many of our street sections have been excavated and filled with fresh concrete. To extend the useful life of our concrete streets, many of the larger cracks between main paving blocks have been cleaned and sealed. This work is ongoing.
